Phat Productions is all about developing, engineering and implementing the greatest and most fun outdoor music experiences possible. In order to achieve this we carefully select and engineer each aspect of the event, to the music, the sound, the location, the art, and everything else to optimise experience for you - the participants!

Music - Psychedelic Trance
Psy-trance is at the heart of the Phat Productions experience. Its made for the outdoors, and no other style of electronic music delivers quite the same heightened sense of awareness and can continue to keep dancefloors pumping night after night. Each of our events has the DJs and styles of psy carefully selected to ensure the energy stays high and each night the music just builds and builds. This is the crux of the event, and if you have never been to an outdoor psytrance party then this is your chance. At our multi-day events we carefully select other complimenting styles to play during the day and during chill times.
Sound - Opus Audio (UK)
Opus is quite simply the best audio system on the planet. You just have to come to the event to hear it to understand, it takes the music to a whole new level and delivers an experience that is second to none. This is we use Opus only at our festivals, and stands us apart from the rest. Its worth coming just to hear this system.
Location - Kuripapango Campground
Having spent years painstakingly developing the music and audio, the location is the final piece in the puzzle. We have finally located Kuripapango Campground, a truly magical place, with a clean mountain river right next to the most beutiful valley space in the North Island.
Madagascar is the culmination of these three parts to create the most incredible experience imaginable - a festival of 5 days of amazing clear music, great people, positive vibes, swimming, games and art set amongst the most special and beutiful locations in New Zealand
