Terra Nine is the electronic brainchild of Michael Westcot - Hardly your typical digital artist. A classically trained violinist, he produces a truly unique synergy of lush organic strings, mind bending psychedelic sounds and a fat bottom end full of twisted beats and dubbed out bass lines… Running the gamut of trance, dub and psychedelic breaks… To experience is to understand… Terra Nine moves the heart and soul as well as the feet.

Over ten years, Terra Nine has released 5 albums and an EP through Tempest Recordings (CUT Group) as well as appearing on myriad compilations. His 2007 release ~ Strange Craft ~ was a masterful mix of ambient electronica that met with critical acclaim worldwide. The 2009 album release ~ Stream of Consciousness ~ featured a unique mix of psychedelic dub, trance and breaks fused with vocals and lyrics from NZ songwriter: Aviatrix, as well as international guests: dub maestro OTT remixing the track No Return and Pete Ardron from Orchid Star, with a magical remix of Whisper.

Terra Nine Live Shows

Terra Nine has toured extensively over the past 2 years, performing dynamic live shows at festival events worldwide, including Bliss, Parihaka, Prana and Canaan Downs in NZ, and overseas at Rainbow Serpent (Australia), Bakony (Hungary), Full Moon Festival (Germany), Ambiosonic (France), Hadra (France), Al Andalus (Spain) Hanna Hanna (Slovakia), Aurora (Greece), Antiworld (UK), Waveform (UK), Sunrise Festival (UK), Eden (UK), Festival of Life (UK) and Inspiral Lounge (UK)… This year ~ 2011 ~ has already seen Terra Nine perform an awesome all live NYE show at Prana Gaia Galactic Festival in New Zealand and Rainbow Serpent Festival in Australia. Confirmed dates for the European Summer Tour include Sunrise Celebration, Eden, Waveform, Alchemy and Inspiral Lounge in the UK, Misterika in Ukraine, NOMAD in France and many more yet to be confirmed.
